Join the Cliffs Of The Neuse Trail Run & Hike, supporting Cliffs of the Neuse State Park's 4th spring trail race! Choose from various events including the 4 Mile Run ($35), 4 Mile Hike ($25), and 8 Mile Run ($40). The event will take place from 10:00 AM EDT to 1:00 PM EDT, with registration closing on March 21, 2024, at 11:59 pm EDT. The START/FINISH AREA will be at the BIG PICNIC SHELTER, offering real parking and bathrooms for your convenience. The new course will start and finish at the big picnic shelter by the lake parking lot, featuring beautiful single and double tracks with minimal gravel roads. The 4-mile loop boasts scenic views of the river and lake, with significant elevation changes and bridges. The 8-mile race comprises two loops of the 4-mile course, passing an aid station around the 2-mile mark. Both courses will be marked and timed, starting at 10:00 am. Check-in and packet pick-up will be held from 9:00a-9:30a at the start/finish area, with cash-only race day sign-ups available from 9:00a-9:30a. Enjoy delicious cookies, a small meal, and food truck tacos at the finish line! Order your shirt by March 7th, and all finishers will receive a sustainable wood medal. Central to recovery is fostering a culture of healthy "Family" or "Community," which is the cornerstone of our faith-based program at Difference180 Recovery Meetings. The event offers 5k, 10k, and 1-mile options, with finisher medals for all registered runners. Additionally, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the 5K and 10K will receive medals for each age group, while best overall times will earn a trophy. This year, a children's 100-yard dash starting around 10 am promises a special surprise for each finisher!
